Worth every penny

The book is a handy, quick reference for novice syrup makers. I've never made Maple syrup, but am on my second year making Birch syrup (River Birch). Much to my surprise Birch syrup is covered in the book! Next year I may try Red Maple. I tried Walnut last year and screwed it up, but with my new information there is a good chance I'll do Walnut again (Juglans Nigra).
